These two Sisters are from the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN.  Both professed vows this past summer.

On July 26 Sister Corbin Hannah professed perpetual vows as a Sister of Providence and Sister Teresa Kang professed her first vows.  Because of Covid-19, of course, families could not attend their celebrations.  However, even with masks and physical distancing taking place in the chapel, these women’s families watched them commit their lives to this community from afar via livestream.  The celebration was beautiful and nothing could dampen the spirits as they were welcomed into the community.  The Congregation of Sisters are so thankful to each of them for joining their lives to the community and giving themselves to bring God’s loving care to a world in need.

As we think about all the unmet needs in our world these two women are willing to venture into the beyond and join with others of good will to “proclaim the Good News to all creation.”  (Mark 16:15).  Definitely a day to rejoice!
