1984 – Nine Women of Providence presented papers at this Colloquium.  The papers represent efforts to speak to the questions of the day and the tumultuous times in which we live, all seen through a providence lens.  The topics of each paper are:  Nineteenth Century Devotion to Providence; Toward a Contemporary Understanding of Providence; Whose World Is It?  The Encounter of Two Freedoms; The Role of Providence in Crisis and Healing; Who Shall Find a Providence Woman?; The New Abandonment: A Word from Job’s Sister; Impelled to Make a Difference: Providence, Conversion and Christian Hope; and Providence and the Peacemaker.
