Today the Women of Providence in Collaboration begin their annual Spring board meeting. It is being held this year at Genesis Retreat and Spiritual Life Center in Holyoke, MA from April 10-11, 2019.
At this meeting the board members will hear reports from the Executive Director on all the events happening with and for the WPC. They will discuss a Final Report on the 2018 Providence Event, and its Survey Monkey report in order to determine the best way to move forward about future Providence Events. There was also a Survey Monkey Evaluation tool used to review and discuss the Vocation/Formation/Leadership conference and decide how to proceed in the future. The new WPC website–www.wpcweb.org will be thoroughly reviewed and suggestions made for its ongoing use.
Financial information, such as membership dues, operating costs, investment strategies and budget preparations are always reviewed and decisions are made at this meeting for the coming fiscal year.
Some positions on the Executive Committee will change with some board members leaving the board, while others will remain but their terms of office are completed. We are grateful for the service of Sisters Sandra Shannon (Chair) and Judith Desmarais (Secretary) as well as that of Alice Gerdeman and Kathleen Popko as board members. Board membership often coincides with congregational elections so Alice and Kathleen could be back among us after their congregation’s chapter of elections.
