The WPC Governing Board met on April 10-11, 2019 for their annual meeting in Westfield, MA, at the Genesis Spirituality and Life Center. On April 11, as part of the agenda items, was the election of officers for the Executive Committee of the Board. The new officers are Sr. Dawn Tomaszewski, SP—Chair, Sr. Kathleen Popko, SP—Vice Chair, Sr. Karin Dufault, SP—Secretary, and Sr. Alice Marie Lyon, CDP—Treasurer.

These women will serve a term of two years, with a renewable two year term possible. Previously Sister Dawn served as Vice Chair and Sr. Alice Marie is returning as treasurer. The Women of Providence in Collaboration thank outgoing Chair, Sister Sandra Shannon, SP, for all her years of service, as well as Sister Judith Desmarais, SP, for her years of service as secretary. The Board had a farewell blessing prayer at the end of our meeting for those leaving our board, knowing that it is possible, due to congregational chapters of elections, that some of them may be returning. We wish all those leaving us blessings on the new journeys awaiting them.
